LMX2820: What happens to the RF output during SYNC event?

Part Number: LMX2820

I'm interested in the phase synchronization feature of the LMX2820 PLL, and I'm wondering about the behaviour of the RF output during the synchronization process. When a sync pulse is applied, what happens to the RF output during the time it takes for synchronization to occur? I've attached Figure 1-1 from SNAU273 for more context.

Specifically, I'd like to know:

  1. Does the RF output completely turn off during the synchronization process, or does it continue to operate at its original frequency?
  2. Does the output frequency change or experience any jitter during the synchronization

Any insights or documentation on the behaviour of the RF output in this context would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance!
