I am using PLLatinum Sim software for generating RAMP of 500 MHz in less then 20usec but i am not getting the option for setting ramp size please help.or share any video link if possible

    Hi There,

    PLL Sim is not intend for this purpose, did you mean TICS Pro?

    Please provide your TICS Pro configuration like below.

    I would like to know wheather LMX-2572 will able gentare 500MHz ramp from 2400-2900 MHz .. if yes then how much min. time will be needed.

    Hi There,

    Yes, LMX2572 can support ramp between 2400-2900MHz. However, you will not get linear ramp from 2400 all the way to 2900MHz, there will be several VCO calibration in the middle of the ramp. for example:

    Since there will be several VCO calibration in the middle of the ramp, we need to reserve some time to allow the calibration to complete, As a result, the total ramp time is equal to the desired ramp time + the total amount of calibration time. 

    check datasheet section 8.1.72 for details.
