LMX2592: PLL device that can use GPS(1PPM) as a reference clock

Part Number: LMX2592
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMK05318B

Hello,

My customer is looking for a PLL device with the conditions below.

   - Ref Clock : TCXO 10MHz or GPS (1PPM)

   - Output clock : 6.3~6.9GHz

They prefer products that allow them to select TCXO 10MHz and GPS (1PPM) as reference clocks. However, if there is no such product, please introduce a product that can use GPS as a reference clock.

Thank you.

  • Hi JH,
We don't have a single IC solution capable of this...
The only workaround would be to take a DPLL device such as LMK05318B which can take a 1PPS input *(or the 10 MHz TCXO input) and then have the output of that device drive an RF synthesizer to generate the HF outputs.

    Regards,
