LMK01000: 1:2 Fanout Buffer Availability

Hello TI Team,

I am searching for the 1:2 Fanout Buffer (max output Freq of 200 MHz) which accepts the Single Ended 50 Sine Wave Ohm Input OCXO and Splits into two Differential Square wave (LVDS/LVPECL) Ouputs

LMK01000 IC has the input and Output requirements as given below.

But It has 8 Outputs. As my application is space constraints I cannot use this much bigger one.

Can you Suggest any alternate 2 outputs IC with same input Output Buffer Configuration.?

Hello Sakthi,

Based on your requirements it looks like the LMK1D1204 is you best bet. It accepts a universal input (such as a sine wave) and outputs 4 LVDS signals (note that it can only output LVDS signals). Note that it can only accept a sine wave while the frequency is not too low, so if operating your system at 200MHz, you should see no problems. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for your immediate response. Maximum Frequency of Application is 200 MHz.

But How much minimum frequency LMK1D1204 will support while using Sine wave input?

What frequency are you operating at? Are you feeding in several frequencies into the buffer? If so, why? I'm trying to better understand your application so I can best support you.

Hi Andrea,

I am planning to feed input signal to Buffer from OCXO and also planning for multiple frequency applications.

Hence I need to feed input with any one of the following frequencies

10MHz, 80 MHz, 120MHz, 150 MHz and 200 MHz.

Can you provide the minimum and maximum input frequency support for Clock Buffer LMK1D1204 when using 50 Ohm Sine wave from OCXO?

Hello Sakthi,

That decision is up tp you. The 2102 has two inputs and two outputs, so you would use one input that feeds into both outputs. The 1204 has one input and 4 outputs, so you could just leave the unused outputs floating.
