Hi,all

I'm using CDCE62005 to provide clock to all of the chip on the board. But I know little about how to use CDCE62005. Could you tell me some useful advice and some experience? From this forum, I know there is a GUI for CDCE62005. Do I have to use it when I program the chip? To configure CDCE62005 properly, I should configure registers in CDCE62005 via SPI Bus. Am I right? Please help me.

Hi Nick,

I would recommend you to get a CDCE62005 EVM (which is available in TI eStore). Using the GUI and the EVM, you can configure the device based on your applications and requirements. Then you can get all register information from the GUI and can use them to configure the device using SPI.

Hi Firoj,

What's fuction of the GUI which can configure CDCE62005? Only getting some information about registers? You mean that I can configure CDCE62005 using SPI according to what I get all register information from the GUI. Right? Where can I get the GUI? On TI website?

Hi Nick,

The GUI and EVM will help you to program the device based on your need and evaluate the performance. The GUI is also helpful to generate the register information which you will need to program the device on your board through SPI Bus.
