LMX2594: SYNC MODE

Part Number: LMX2594

Hi there.

I am using LMX2594 and want to use sync mode to synchronize two of its outputs.

Please check how I set the PLL below.

Fosc : 100 MHz

PFD : 100/3 MHz

Output : 3700 ~ 4800 MHz

Sync : 1pps (1Hz)

My sync category is 3.

And I have checked when the PLL output is Fosc's mulitplication which is 3700, 3800, 3900 MHz etc...(Also when the category 2), the sync function is working well.

(The difference of phase of 2 PLL's outputs  is always same.)

The problem is if I want to the output 3730, 3840, 3970 MHz etc (Which is the category 3)..., it seems like the sync function is working.

But there is not only one phase difference between 2 PLL's outputs,

There are two different cases of phase differences between the outputs of the two PLLs.

Case 1

Case 2

(There are two different cases of phase differences between the outputs of the two PLLs.)

Anyone know about this or how to fix this problem?

Please tell me how I shoud do.

Thank you!!
