LMC555: About Revision History

Hi,

The following changes have been made to the Revision N datasheet: However, the yellow highlight is VS=1.5 V. Is this VS=5 V correct?

If so, do you plan to modify the datasheet? Could you tell me when you will modify it?

    HI Nishie,

    Per the LMC555 data sheet Revision History on section 10, the supply current typical values were already changed on revision N.  

    The change on the supply current (Is) typical spec was from 50 µA to 130 µA at VS = 1.5 V; from 100 µA to 180 µA at VS = 5 V; and from 150 µA to 220 µA at VS = 12 V, in the Electrical Characteristics Table.

    The data sheet shows the correct/updated supply current typical spec values, in agreement with the data sheet revision history; and there is no data sheet modification pending.

    I'm sorry for not explaining enough. Do you plan to change the text of Revision History from "from 100μA to 180μA at VS=1.5V" to "from 100μA to 180μA at VS=5V"?

    HI Nishie-san,

    I understand now what you mean. The actual specifications on the Electrical Characteristics Table for the typical supply current (IS) are correct without issue, but you are referring to a typographical error on the Revision History log description, "...from 100μA to 180μA at VS= 1.5 V 5 V". I will provide the feedback to the Systems Team so they incorporate this minor correction as part of any data sheet refresh or update.

    HI Nishie-san,

    The Systems Team keeps a record of required corrections for future data sheet revisions. Since this is not an error in the Electrical Characteristics Specifications, but a minor typographical error only in the Revision History Log, which is not part of the device spec, the data sheet revision will not occur immediately, the data sheet was re-visited recently on March 2024. Nevertheless, I will submit the feedback to the team.
