13Mhz sine -> 52Mhz square

Hi,

I have a clock source, 13Mhz, 0.5Vrms, sine wave and want to bring that to 52Mhz, 1.0--4.0Vpp, square wave.

I startet looking at CDCVF25084.

This is fine, but since the output of the CDCVF25084 is sine i have to convert that to square.

So, I am searching for either

a component that takes the input of the CDCVF25084 and outputs a square wave

a component that takes a 13Mhz sine wave input and outputs a 52Mhz square wave

Any suggestions welcome.

Hi Alex,

thank you for your interest in TI products. At the moment I can suggest you the CDC3RL02, a buffer which takes the sine-wave output of the CDCVF2584 and converts it into a square-wave signal.

Pretty much any component that can accept a crystal input can accept a 0.5V sine wave input. Just capacitively couple (1 nF or so) the signal to the Xin pin. If the crystal circuit requires a shunt resistor, add that from Xout to Xin, but many components include that internally. Here's some discussion of a CDCE9xx part using the technique.
