Tool/software:
Hi, I am trying to use the LMK04610 for the following setup in the Frequency Planner of the TICS Pro software:
I don't see any reason why this would not work. Are there any limitations for the Frequency Planner that would prevent this from converging to a solution?
The frequency planner is designed to find solutions that use PLL2 and the internal VCO. While there is a satisfactory distribution mode solution and perhaps with 320MHz VCXO a satisfactory PLL2 bypass (PLL1 only) solution, you would need to implement one of those solutions yourself.
The VCO range is 5870MHz to 6175MHz. The only multiple of 320MHz that is in-range of the VCO is 6080MHz (320MHz * 19) - but 19 is a prime number, and is therefore indivisible by any factor available at the VCO post-divider. Consequently, there are no VCO-based solutions available.
