LMK04610: Registermap in datasheet vs TICS Pro

Part Number: LMK04610

Hello

I noticed when I use TICS Pro to export the LMK04610 raw register map, a number of registers are present in the map that are not present in the data sheet.

To name just a few (present in the TICS exported map, NOT in the datasheet): R0145, R010A, R0108, R0106, R0104, R0102, R0100, R00FE, R00FC, R00FA, R00F9, R00B0. I suspect there may be more, but I stopped counting after R00B0.

Is there any information available on the function of these registers and whether or not it is allowed to access these?

Thank you.

  • Hello,

I will check and advise on this.

  • Hello,
TICS Pro shows 218 registers, but datasheet only shows 195 registers
Those registers not showed in datasheet should use default value. Do not recommend user to modify them.

  • Hello Shawn

Thank you for your reply. One remaining question though:

When I use the TICS Pro tool to configure the LMK04610 in my application, TICS Pro can export the register map for me, which would include the registers that are not part of the datasheet. Would it be OK for my application software to simply read the file exported by the TICS Pro tool and download all registers present in the file, so including those not in the datasheet into the LMK04610? Or alternatively, should I filter out those registers first before downloading the register file into the LMK?

    Thank you for your time.

    Kind regards,

    Mattijs

  • Please use all registers , because these value had been verified and optimized on EVM.
Do not filter out those registers not been showed in datasheet. Those hidden registers still are useful.
TICS Pro optimized some values vs. default value.

Maybe TI should add a note in datasheet to show this difference. Thank you for your reporting.
