LMK1C1104: Fanout for arbitrary digital signals?

Part Number: LMK1C1104

Tool/software:

Do you recommend LMK1C family to fanout an arbitrary digital signal?  Like a 3.3V SPI SDO or CS signal.  Different duty cycles at different times, often DC.

I see there'd be an issue with enable / disable, but I figure there's a workaround.

Let's imagine 1G is always high.  Then the LMK1C chip is enabled with 5 cycles on the CLKIN pin, then CLKIN does SPI CS behavior.  And is never disabled.  Would this work as I expect?

  • Rachel,

LMK1C110x devices need to see a clock edge to get the outputs enable. Usually it needs 2-3 clock edges to enable the output. Also, it is key the input slew rate spec is met (>0.1V/ns). While these 2 are met, then I think there should be no problems in your system.

    Best,

    Andrea
