Hi, taught of using LM567C for my device's speaker detection. we taught of using current sense but if speaker's diaphragm is torn still current flows but desired frequency will not be generated.
I came across LM567 a tone decoder and taught of using this to detect the tone that gives high or low based on frequency injected. We bought 5 samples and I rigged up the circuit and started to test that circuit with function generator. Initially I got the results as expected like frequency used to pass through capacitor into pin3 of IC and pin8 used to go low. But i tested the same circuit after a week, now things are not working, more importantly the frequency is not passing through capacitor and pin3 always remains 2V. I even tried to by pass the capacitor but the pin3 remains 2V with not sign of frequency on it. Replaced the IC's as well to see not change in results.
Please let me know how can i resolve this issue.
