LMX1204: SYSREF Windowing Operation

Part Number: LMX1204

Tool/software:

Hi,

Few questions:

  1. Assuming sysref_req pin is continuous. When I look on the Flowchart for SYSREF Windowing Operation, after toggling SYSREFREQ_CLR (0 -> 1 -> 0), will the measure will occur on once (on  sysref_req pin rising edge) or will it occur repeatedly?
  2. for another use I think to do with the LMX1204, I would like to hear your opinion, Assuming I want to measure and correct timing between 2 clocks, a fast clk Vs slow clock,  for example 2GHz & 10MHz.
    1. Can I connect the 10MHz signal to the sysref_req pin (as if it was a sysref)?
    2. will I successfully measure the timing, and distribute the shifted 10MHz clock on the sysref_out pins?
    3. Assuming I will work in sysref repeater mode, I saw that sysref_req is reclocked with clock output, do you thinks that the sysref_out pins will have reliable 10MHz clock? (As I said it’s not really a sysref)

BR,

Barak
