LMK05318B: VOD adjustment for LVDS output swim

Hi Team, 

Customer measure our LMK05318B LVDS output swim is large than spec. is there any register setting can help customer find tune the LVDS VOD output?

  • Hi Eddie,

    it is not possible to adjust the swing besides the available options: HCSL,  "AC-LVDS", "AC-CML", or  "AC-LVPECL". Each AC-type corresponds to a current level setting on the current driver (there are only three swing options for the AC-type).

    Can you please share the LVDS VOD spec required by the receiver?

    Below is specification from receiver, 

    the output from LMK05318B Vpp is 9xxmV.

    Thanks for providing the receiver details.

    I see that the receiver has a max Vpp spec of 900mV. The max LMK05318B VOD spec for AC-LVDS is 450mV which means the max Vpp level is 900mV; this would meet their spec.

    • Can you please share the schematic for the measured LMK05318B output clock?
    • Do they measure with the output clock connected to the receiver?
    • How are they probing the output clock signal?
    • Please share a oscilloscope screenshot of the AC-LVDS output clock showing the swing level measurement.
