Hi

I understand that if I use external mixer to down convert the PLL output into the PFDin, I can ignore 20LOG(N) when calculating the flat noise.

My question is how is the LO phase noise in the input of the mixer affects the flat noise? is there any model for this?

The residual phase noise of the mixer itself also affects the flat noise?
