My costumer is asking for an EVM for this device for evaluation.

I see that there is no EVM available for this device but there is one EVM for the TLC3555-Q1 which has same Package and Pinout.

Could this board be used also to evaluate the TLC555-Q1?

Do you know the reason that evaluating TLC555 is preferred over the newer TLC3555?

Hi Ron,

I don´t know for sure, my guess is that they picked the TLC555 because it is cheaper.

What are the main technical differences between the two devices?

Oscar,

TLC3555 has wider Vcc range, more VCC value specs, VOH improved.
