Tool/software:
Dear TI experts,
My customer considers TLC555-Q1 for new project.
the concept is as below ;
1. The input na applied to TRIG pin. It is normally high, and falls to low when the system is into fault condition.
and it comes back to high if the system is escaped from fault condition.
2. At the moment of from fault to normal condition, my customer wants output delayed exactly 2 seconds from the rising edge of input high moment.
My customer tested this concept with 1Hz square wave and calculated R and C value, and it worked.
But the frequency is getting longer, they cannot find 2 seconds delay.
Please see the waveforms below ;
-> the situation of 1Hz input (I can see 2 seconds delay on the output.)
-> the situation of 0.2Hz input
-> the situation of 0.1Hz input
Here are my questions ;
1. Does TLC555-Q1 fit to the concept of my customer above?
1-1 If yes, What should I consider for lower than 1Hz frequency?
1-2. If no, Could you recommend other device which can make 2 seconds output delay?
2. What is difference between monostable operation and astable operation?
I saw figure 6.6 in page 9. Can astable opreation adjust duty cycle (t_H and t_L) what I want?
Please check this issue. Thanks.
Best regards,
Chase
