LMK05318: XO freq offset detection

Part Number: LMK05318

Tool/software:

Hi team,

Is there any register to detect the freq of XO input?

Is there any register to detect the input power level of XO?

Is there any register to set the single end and differential mode of XO input?

  • Lijia,

Our team is currently out of office for the US holiday. Please expect a response by next Monday.

    Thanks,

    Kadeem

  • Hi Lijia,

The device has LOS_FDET_XO to detect XO signal. However, this register bit can only detect the present of XO signal but not able to detect whether XO is at the correct frequency.

Another register that is helpful with the indication of XO signal is BAW_LOCK. When BAW_LOCKDET_EN = 1, if XO is at the correct frequency, the BAW VCO is tuned at correct frequency (within lock/unlock ppm thresholds) to lock to the XO resulting in BAW_LOCK = 1

Currently the device doesn't have register to detect XO input power. Please choose XO input that meets the device operating requirements.

The XO input buffer can be configured for different termination for SE or differential. See Table 2 on the datasheet for XO termination options.

    Best,

    Riley
