LMK00804B-Q1: fanout for PWM signals in multi-line Lidar application

My customer is developing the multi-line flash Lidar application. They need a pwm signals to fanout to the coming MOS drivers.

The PWM waveform is shown in below screenshot.

The pwm signals is 3.3V and need total 12 channel outputs. The pulse width is 5ns , the pwm frequencty is about 2MHz( duty cycle is 0.046%), trising=307ps (20%-80%),tfalling=287ps (20%-80%).

Is LMK00804B-Q1 ok for this application? if not, what's your suggestion on new solution with automotive level?

Hi Ted,

The LMK00804B-Q1 is an automotive solution that will be able to buffer the signal you are attempting to input, but it will not be able to generate the number of outputs you need by itself. We have 1:12 buffers that could work, but they do not have the automotive rating.

That being said, the LMK00804B-Q1 could be cascaded in order to generate 12 outputs - the LMK00804B-Q1 has a very low output skew, so the outputs should be close in phase. That would be my recommendation for a solution that still satisfies the automotive rating.
