LMK5B33216: Quick Start-up

Part Number: LMK5B33216

Tool/software:

I’m looking at using the LMK5B33216 for a clock chip.  But I’m also looking for a quick startup time for 3 clocks.  Can the EEPROM be used to output clocks on power-up?  If so, how long would it take to start getting output clocks if the input reference clock is there?

  • Hi Steve,

The EEPROM can be used to configure the APLL, XO input, and output registers for start-up clocks. Anything DPLL related (pertaining to outputs locking to the INx inputs) require in-system programming. Please refer to the datasheet Programming section for more information:

To check the start-up time from PDN pulled high to clocks outputted, please refer to the APLL lock times in the datasheet:

    Does this answer your question?
