LMK1D2102: LMK1D2102RGTR

Part Number: LMK1D2102

Tool/software:

Good day. I am designing a main board PCB for a test bench, and I have a question regarding the LMK1D2102RGTR:

Can I control the enable signal from an ADIO PXIe instrument the way I show you in the attached image? I want it to be at GND by default with the pull-down resistor (all outputs disabled) and when I want to enable OUT0 and OUT1 the ADIO will put the signal "DIO_CLK_EN" at 3V3 (high).

Is that correct?

Thank you very much,

Jorge.

  • Hi Jorge,

This should work. If the default state of DIO_CLK_EN is at GND, then the device outputs will be powered down as expected. If it is a Hi-Z state, then the internal biasing of the enable pin will result in the voltage of the pin being held at ~0.03V (the external 4.7-kOhm pulldown resistor and the internal 320-kOhm pulldown resistor paired with the internal 500-kOhm pullup resistor will pull this pin below 0.3*VCC, which will mean is it read as a logic low).

Once DIO_CLK_EN is set to 3.3V, the outputs will be enabled.

    Thanks,

    Michael
