My customer is using CDCM6208 GUI to configure 6208 on their PCB, but GUI happen to show this error, could you pls help on resolve the GUI error?

Yunjing,

Please use the TICS Pro GUI for this device instead of the standalone GUI. The TICS Pro GUI is far less prone to difficult-to-discern System.Windows errors with the CDCM6208.

Is the TICS Pro SW GUI real-time update when we change configurations? Do we need another step to load/reset device software to load the configuration?

About register configuration, two questions as well.

1. Is below bit are used to load current register settings?

2. We need to adjust PLL loop filter for better jitter performance.

What is the impact of each component configuration of REG0? What is the impact if we change REG0 to 0x000F?

What is the impact on PLL loop if we change to larger C3/ larger R3/ larger charge pump current?

Yunjing,

As long as you are connected to the device, the TICS Pro software real-time updates as you change device settings.

RSTN holds the device in a low power state, and is not needed for loading register settings. It can be used to recalibrate the VCO.

TICS Pro offers viewing of the impact of changes to the loop filter in the GUI. We also provide the ability to suggest RC values based on the configuration settings. See below:
