Digital 1.8V clock input for CDCE913?

Hi,

If I prefer to use another digital clock to feed [pin 1, Xin/CLK], may I connect it directly to this pin?

In this case, should [pin 14, Xout] be disconnected (floating) or not?

And what should the voltage (maximum) of the digital clock be? Would 1.8V be OK?

Hi Tim,

yes you can connect the digital clock directly to pin1.

Pin14 can be left floating or pulled to VDD (see description in "Terminal Functions" table)

1.8V signal is OK, but don't go higher. (please have a look at page 4: "Recommended operating conditions" VIL/VIH spec)
