What causes the rise/fall time to slow down?

Temperature or manufacturing variation?

If it's temperature, is there data that shows there is no variation at room temperature?

Hello,

The prop delay data provided in AC Performance tables through manufacturing variation and temp. over free-air range of -40C to 125C. The actual RC rise/ fall times is much more dependent on the external pullups + output cap. load used, due to the non-buffering architecture of this device.
