Hi, if possible, I would like to drive the CDCE18005 Aux Input with a 10MHz CMOS signal. Is this allowed, or is the Aux In only used with a crystal?

Hi Brad,

We only advise using a crystal for the AUXIN input. We have seen others use a CMOS signal on this input successfully, but it was not designed or characterized for this.

Thanks Matt,

That's what I was afraid of. I want to implement a crossbar switch with three or four clock inputs and four to five outputs, but none of the input clocks can be crystals.
