Tool/software:
Hi,
it is specified in datasheet that by default diff impedance is 85 ohm.
we can't program each time when unit is ON , so can we program this bit via smbus from CPLD?
Thanks and Regards,

Hi Shekha,
You can program this bit using SMBus. See the attached screenshot for more register information, and refer to Sections 8-5 and 8-6 for more information.
Thanks,
Michael
Hi,
Yeah it can be programmed via SMBUS, but we need to program one time, not every time the unit is turened ON. As clock buffer does not have any non volatile memory programming one time is not possible. As we are using a CPLD in the hardware which is instant on(having flash), so i am planning to program the bit from cpld via i2c interface(i2c ip core). So that we need not program clock buffer each time unit is turned ON. Is that okay?

Hi Sheka,
It is perfectly fine to program the clock buffer from your CPLD.
Thanks,
Michael
