Can I use the LMX2572 with an external VCO, bypassing the internal VCO and disabling it?

Hi David,

No, LMX2572 does not support external VCO, there is no way to get the external VCO signal back to the internal N-divider.

Hi David,

LMX2571, LMX2581 and LMX2820 are the synthesizers that support external VCO.

if you use external VCO, actually you need a PLL not synthesizer. You may consider LMX2485, 2486, 2487 or LMX2491, 2492.
