LMK04828: DCLKoutX_DDLY_CNTH/_CNTL

Part Number: LMK04828

Tool/software:

Hi team,

We can see the description about DCLKoutX_DDLY_CNTH/_CNTL in the datasheet, but can't the description in the TICS pro.

In the TICS pro, we can see DCLKoutX_DDLYd_CNTH/_CNTL instead.

Is it OK that DCLKoutX_DDLY_CNTH/_CNTL and DCLKoutX_DDLYd_CNTH/_CNTL are same meaning and the deiffernce is just a typo?

Regards,

Noriyuki Takahashi

  • It's not just typos - these are separate fields.

One set of fields (DCLKoutX_DDLY_CNTH/_CNTL) controls the fixed delay which is inserted during a divider synchronization event. In TICS Pro, these fields are located in the delay column. See datasheet section 9.3.3.1 Fixed Digital Delay for details.

The other set of fields (DCLKoutX_DDLYd_CNTH/_CNTL) controls the dynamic delay adjustment. During a dynamic digital delay event (triggered by writing DDLYd_STEP_CNT while DDLYdX_EN = 1 for the chosen channel or channels), the divider temporarily outputs logic HIGH for DCLKoutX_DDLYd_CNTH VCO cycles, and logic LOW for DCLKoutX_DDLYd_CNTL VCO cycles. See datasheet section 9.3.3.2 Dynamic Digital Delay for details.
