Please let me know if this question needs to be posted in a different forum.
I am currently using LMX2595 EVM to generate an automatic ramp between 11 to 11.1 GHz within 25 µs as the input to my DUT. The output of my DUT is sampled by the ADS41XX EVM connected to the TSW1400 data capture card. 
  1. I want to trigger the TSW1400 to process the ADC data between the linear portion of the ramp. What is the best way to approach this?
  2. Currently, the LMX2595 uses the onboard crystal as the reference, and the ADS41XX receives a 120 MHz clock from a signal generator. Is there a need to sync them?
