LMK6H: RAD Tolerant oscillator

Part Number: LMK6H
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMK3H0102

Tool/software:

Hi,

Any chance that this oscillator and others will be qualified for LEO satellites?

Noam

  • Hi Noam,

We do not have plans to qualify LMK6H for rad hard applications. If you have an assigned field applications engineer or sales representative, you can reach out to them to discuss our future space roadmap.

  • Assuming I want to split this clock, HCSL, into two differential clocks. Can you suggest a solution using discreet components?

    Noam

  • Hi Noam,

Do you have any requirements for swing / common mode voltage for the clock? You could put each leg of the differential output into a balun to convert it into two differential clocks, but the amplitude may be pretty low. Based on your requirements I can look into possible termination schemes / baluns using passive components.

Also have you looked into using LMK3H0102 instead? It has a similar architecture as LMK6H (BAW + fractional output divider), but it has two differential outputs.
