LMX2820: Clock Buffer Suggestions for OSCIN

Part Number: LMX2820

Tool/software:

Hello,

1- I would like to design a minimum phase noise circuit with LMX2820. Reference signal is 250 MHz carried by single ended 50 Ohms line. Which devices do you offer as a clock buffer?

2- What if I use a single ended 10 MHz crystal reference, what is your buffer suggestion in that case?

3-What if I would like to MUX 250MHz and 10 MHz, with which parts do you offer a 2:1 OSCIN configuration?

Regards

  • Hi Turker,

Unless you need to fan out the 250MHz single-ended signal, there is no need to use a buffer.

For 10MHz clock, we recommend use square wave clock such as CMOS or differential clock. If it is a sine wave clock, then we recommend LMK1C (www.ti.com/.../snaa411) to translate it to a square wave clock.

Currently we don't have a standalone 2:1 mux product.
