LMX2615-SP: Could output frequency (RFout) shift if the supply voltage goes above or below the recommended supply voltage

Part Number: LMX2615-SP

Hello,

Could the output frequency (RFout) of LMX2615-SP shift if the supply voltage goes out of the Recommended Operating Range (min. +3.20V, max. +3.45V)? If the supply voltage could go for 70µs to a voltage of max. +3.54V or if the supply voltage could go for 70µs to a minimum voltage of +3.10V, could the output frequency (RFout) shift during this duration?

Or will this only has effect for performance on the output power?

  • Hi Bjorn,

The VCO and most of the circuitries of LMX2615 use the supply voltage from internal LDOs, the frequency will not shift due to external supply.

Since RF output buffer is pull-high to Vcc, output power will be affected by the supply voltage.
