LMK1C1108: Cross ref says this a Similar Function??

Part Number: LMK1C1108

Hi,

Used TI's cross ref tool for a long time. usually pretty close but lately seems like suggestions are pretty poorly vetted or maybe some poor AI tool is making the pick.

It'd be nice to have a feedback box on the tool for Poor matches or even suggestions.

Infineon is killing off the CY2308SXI-3.  I had this crossed with a IDT (Renesas) 2308-3DCGI which the tool crosses to a TI  LMK1C1108PWR

The more proper match is what the tool finds for the Infineon part, but the IDT one is just bad. When does an 8 output buffer match to similar functionality to one with a PLL in it?

There are other recent occurences with match/suggestions just way off, so maybe it'd be nice to have a feedback box right to whomever owns the tool to improve it's results.

cheers

pete

  • Hi Pete,

The buffers we offer do not have integrated PLLs. We have device with integrated PLLs that feature output dividers and buffers but that all seems like overkill for what you are attempting to do. Can you specify exactly why you need the internal PLL? If you are seeking a device that can distribute 8 single-ended outputs, the LMK1C1108 can do so with extremely low output skew (35-55ps). If the PLL is a must-have aspect of your solution, I would point you towards the LMK048xx series.

    Thanks,

    Michael
