SE555: As for static current consumption

Dear TI Support Team,

Our customer is considering using the SE555 timer IC in an automotive application. We have received the following two inquiries and would appreciate your assistance:

The customer plans to use the SE555 timer IC as a monostable multivibrator. The datasheet only specifies the operating current, but they would like to confirm the static current consumption. Specifically, they are interested in the standby current when the device is in a trigger-waiting state. Could you provide this information?
We understand that SE555 does not have an automotive-grade version. Would TLC3555QDRQ1 be the recommended automotive-grade alternative? If not, could you please advise the correct part number? The maximum supply voltage in their design is 16 V.

Hello Shimamura-san,

SE555 is not automotive qualified. TLC3555QDRQ1 and TLC555QDRQ1 are recommended.

Operating current is a static current. Supply current (with output low) is the standby current and supply current (with output high) is the pulse running current.
