LMK03328: TICS Pro Error everytime I try to open a saved project

Part Number: LMK03328

Hello,

When I try to open a previously saved TICS Pro project, I get an error saying " Error unhandled application exception: attempted to divide by zero". I have to recreate my TICS Pro project everytime. I have already tried replacing the \n with \r\n in a text editor. That did not work.

Thanks,

Ryan

  • Hi Ryan,

Can you share with me your project?

I will attempt to recreate the issue on my end and find root cause.

in the mean time when you load the ticspro profile to LMK03328, please select "Default Configurations" and choose "EVM Default" following that attempt to load your custom profile or hex file into the tool. Do you observe the same issue?

    Best,

    Sandra

  • Hi Ryan,

I ran into the same error you have on this profile.

Would you be able to share with me the frequency plan you're using? I'd like to recreate the profile to resolve divide by 0 issue.

Feel free to send me a message to continue discussion in private if preferred

    Best,

    Sandra

  • I have various frequency plans I need. I have 4 of the clock gens on my test board. For now, can you create one with 156.25 MHz on outputs 1-6, leaving 7 and 8 unused?

  • Hi Ryan, what are the output formats?

What input format and frequency will you be using?

    Best,

    Sandra

  • 25MHz SE Oscillator on PRIREF_P. All outputs are LVDS. VDDO is 3.3V. Status 0 and 1 indicate PPL loss of lock.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

  • Thanks Ryan for the additional info. I'll create a .tcs and hex files to share them with you tomorrow or Monday at the latest.

    Best,

    Sandra

  • Hi Ryan,

Before loading them into TICSPRO i suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the software as i expect the "divide by zero" error to prevent you from uploading any new configurations.

    See attached hex file.

If you run into any issues after TICSPRO re-installation feel free to respond to this thread.

    Sandra

  • Hello,

I still get the same error. I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of TICS Pro and nothing changed. I have tried this on multiple computers as well.

  • HI Ryan,

I was able to consistently recreate your issue, the way to resolve this is by changing the PLL setting page.

    Below is the culprit

Change the denominator value to anything larger than 1 on both PLL1 and PLL2 pages

    Best,

    Sandra
