Looking for equivalent alternative part to MAX9450EHJ Clock Generator

Hi,

Does anyone have a suggestion for an alternative part to MAX9450EHJ?

My application requires the input prescale, a high divide ratio, and stabilty of a VCXO.

Any assistance finding a TI cross is much appreciated.

  • MAX945X is a 32 QFN I2C programmable PLL that supports holdover mode, available in different output types LVPECL, HSTL and LVDS. Output frequency range is from 15MHz to 160MHz and external loop low pass filter is required as well as an external crystal. The typical jitter performance is 0.8ps rms.

     

    The CDCE62002 although it is not a pin to pin compatible device with the MAX945X, it is also a 32QFN device SPI programmable that supports holdover mode. Some of the advantages of the CDCE62002 over MAX945X are:

    -Flexibility in output types (LVDS, LVPECL and LVCMOS supported in the same device)

    -jitter performance is typically better for a 122.88MHz output signal 0.37fs rms are expected as opposed to 0.8ps rms from the MAX945X.

    -Higher output frequency range: Output frequencies can go up to 1.175GHz when output is LVPECL

    - the PLL’s VCO is integrated, therefore it does not require an external crystal as the MAX945X

    -includes the possibility of internal loop low pass filter (external filter is also possible). In the MAX945X external loop filter is required.

    -MAX945X consumes less power than the CDCE62002 (about 50mA less Idd is expected)
