LMK03318: Request for selection of Clock generator

We need a clock generator with the following requirements:

  • It must support LVDS and LVCMOS outputs.
  • The maximum jitter must be less than 100 fs.
  • It must have 8 output channels.

    Hi Mohammed,

    We have a few options for 8-output clock generators with low jitter that support LVDS and LVCMOS outputs.

    1. LMK3H2108 - has an integrated reference input and uses OTP so 4 different configs can be stored, is also multi-source
    2. LMK03328 - has integrated EEPROM with 2 independent PLLs
    3. LMK03318 - also has integrated EEPROM with 1 PLL

    However the maximum jitter specification depends on your frequency plan for your design. Let us know what frequencies you plan to output from the clock generator and we can further tailor our recommendations to your application.
