CDCE6214-Q1: Fall-back mode

Hi Teams,

For the CDCE6214LTWRGETQ1 operating mode, we selected Fall-back mode. In this mode, REFSEL and HW_SW_CTRL are required to be left floating. However, we have a question regarding the input crystal selection: when REFSEL = L, SECREF input is selected; when REFSEL = H, PRIREF input is selected. Since REFSEL is floating in Fall-back mode, from which input should the external crystal be applied? Thanks.

Hi Che Wen,

To enter fall-back mode, REFSEL or HW_SW_CTRL needs to be left floating. As long as you have HW_SW_CTRL floating, you can use REFSEL to select the reference input for the crystal.
