LMK00804B-Q1: LMK00804B using differential input for 1.2V clock signal

Hi everyone,

we are currently designing a cascading radar system, where we need to use a buffer for a 50MHz clock.

The clock has swing of 0-1.2V
I would now like to know, if my assumption is true, that we could use the LMK00804B by using the input in a pseudo-differential way and therefore accomodate this unusal 1.2V voltage of our clock.

If you have other part suggestions, which would match better, I am also open to this.

  • Hi Mike,

    The LMK00804B can accommodate this single-ended swing. Just as you said, driving the differential input - where the noninverting pin receives the 1.2Vpp signal, and the inverting pin is biased to the midpoint of the swing range (600mV in this case) - is the way to drive this device with your input.
