CDCVF25081: Power up time requirement and 25-ohm Damping Resistor

Part Number: CDCVF25081

Hello,

  1. Does CDCVF25081PW have any requirements for power up time for all VDDs to reach minimum specified voltage?
  2. Does TI make a version of CDCVF25081PW without the 25-ohm damping resistor?

Thanks!

  • Hi Jennifer,

Apologies for the delayed response here. CDCVF25081 is now considered more of a legacy device, so unfortunately we don't have too much information on the power supply ramp requirements. In general, for most of our clocking devices as long as the power supply ramp is longer than approximately 0.1ms the internal ESD diodes won't be triggered and we don't expect the device to malfunction. From what I can tell this device doesn't have any kind of automatic VCO calibration or a specific POR sequence, so I don't expect there would be a maximum limit for the ramp time. We also don't have a variant of this device without the internal 25 Ohm damping resistors.

If you could share some more information about your system requirements, I may be able to recommend a newer device that may be a better fit for your application.
