CDCE72010 GUI suggestions

Hi,

I have discovered my target system has inadvertently has the eeprom locked.

The write eeprom locked menu pick is right next to the write eeprom unlocked pick.  This is very dangerous, especially since it appears there are no warnings, notices or chance to stop the command if it is hit by mistake.

It would be very nice if this were to be fixed.

As long as you're fixing it, another bug is that whenever the write registers button is clicked on the main page, it sets the Y0 output to LVCMOS.  (Actually reg 0 gets set to all 0's).

Thanks

  • Hi David,

You probably already noticed the new 64-bit GUI has the EEPROM lock feature removed.

I apologize for the frustration of getting the device locked. If you need help to get this part unlocked, contact Clancy offline for the procedure.

    Best regards,

    Matt

  • Yes please tell me how to contact Clancy.

I had to change this part and it was a real pain with the power pad.  If there is a backdoor to unlock the eeprom that would be great.

  • Also I did note that the write eeprom now only had one choice.  I took a chance and tried it and it did come back and say write eeprom unlocked successful.

It would be nice if the menu pick actually said write eeprom unlocked, rather than just write eeprom, so I wouldn't have to feel like I was taking a chance to click it.

    Thanks,

    David B
