LMX2572EVM: Cannot get TICS to do a triangle ramp

I have a LMX2572EVM with the Reference PRO clock board. I have wired them according to the diagram in the EVM datasheet and set the Reference PRO output to LVPECL. I can get a fixed tone to be generated no problem, and the frequency is very accurate. However I cannot for the life of me get a triangular ramp to happen. I would simply like the frequency to move from A to B and then immediately back to A, on repeat. All manner of wacky things will happen when I enable ramp mode -- either the frequency will jump to some other frequency and stay there, or it will jitter between the A and B frequencies, or all manner of bizzarre spectral components will appear and disappear on my spectrum analyzer. Even manual ramp mode is extremely frustrating and random to use. Sometimes I have to click the "Clock" button 20 times in a row for the frequency to change, and it end up changing far more than I requested it to. Sometimes the frequency does not change at all no matter how many times I click -- and yes I have the triggers set to the ramp clk when doing manual ramp -- otherwise I try setting them to TOC timeout. Nothing works.

No matter how I adjust the settings I can never get a simple sweep from A->B->A->B etc.  It all seems completely broken and random.  Can you please provide an example configuration for TICS that will produce a clean triangular ramp profile on this EVM?  As an example, how would I do a repeated ramp back and forth between 4000MHz to 4100MHz?
