CDCE6214: Unused REF input

Hello TI,

We wish to provide only one LVDS reference to the CDCE6214. Please confirm which REF input (PRI vs SEC) should be preferred in this case, as well as the suggested termination (or none) and mode for the unused input, please.

    Hi Bernhard,

    Both PRIREF and SECREF can accept a differential input, so either input should work as long as REFSEL is configured to properly select the input you have chosen. If you plan to have a XTAL input as a backup, then it may be best to put this input on PRIREF since only SECREF can accept a XTAL input. The unused differential input can be left floating.
