Hello E2E Experts,

Is it possible to use this part given the conditions below?

  1. Generate a stable 1Hz signal from a 10MHz reference.

  2. Automatically switch between external and internal clock sources.

  3. Achieve high precision, potentially down to the 20 ppb level.

  4. Be reliable enough for practical hardware implementation.

Any reference the customer can use?

    As Michael mentioned, our LMK05318B, LMK5Bxxx, and LMK5Cxxx family of network synchronizers are all capable of generating a 1Hz output which is locked to a 10MHz reference. The best device for the specific application will mainly depend on the requirements for clock outputs (number of outputs, required frequencies, jitter specification, etc.). All of these devices use fractional PLLs which can make fine-tuning adjustments < 1 ppb.
