LMK5B33216: Zero Delay Mode Propagation Delay Variation

Part Number: LMK5B33216

Hi All,

For LMK5B33216 with a 125 MHz differential reference input and OUT0 configured for 125 MHz using true ZDM, what is the maximum input-to-output propagation-delay variation over −40°C to +85°C after the initial fixed phase offset has been calibrated? Does the ±65 ps tDLY-VAR-ZDM specification apply when the external input/output are 125 MHz but are divided internally to a TDC rate ≤26 MHz?

Thanks for any assistance!

Regards,

John Madsen

  • Hi John,

The +/- 65ps propagation delay variation spec still applies even if the input is divided internally to a TDC frequency <=26MHz. For this use case, I would recommend enabling SYNC on the ZDM output and toggling SYNC_SW after loading your configuration to the device. This should ensure that the output channel divider and ZDM FB divider are reset synchronously to provide a deterministic phase relationship. Let me know if you have any other questions on this.
