CDCE62005 EVM GUI Problems

Hi,

I am using v1.4.4 of the GUI on Windows7and am having a few problems:

  • Often the value of Reserved bits chosen by the GUI do not match the datasheets requirement.  For example for register 0 the GUI has eb4000ef which means the two reserved bits are '1' when the datasheet says they should be '0'. This can be confirmed by using the SPI Debug in the GUI.
  • SPI Debug in the GUI says register 4 bit 1 is ATTEST yet the datasheet says this is SYNC_MODE1
  • I see from other posts on this forum that Reg6 bit23 is a reserved bit that prevents calibration if it set high.  Yet the GUI calls it CALOVR and sets it to '1'.
  • The 150R output termination seems to come and go in the GUI, despite me turning it off.

From the forum I know there is a v1.4.5 and soon to be a v1.4.6 of the GUI but I cannot find them online.  It's not helped by the TI website using a different version numbering system.  I think it says rel D for my current version.

Many thanks,

Richard
