when I connect battery to bq32000 I get NACK insted of ACK after reading slave address

Are you writing to the subaddress you wish to READ first as shown in Figure 5 of the datasheet...page 9?

but before even writing to sub address slave address should be acknowledge right. In my case BQ32000 is not able to acknowledge salve address when battery is connected.
