Hi experts,
In one of our design, we are using sn65lvds104 to fan out a 125MHz LVDS clock signal.
The input come from a LVDS buffer and go to the sn65lvds104 through serial 0.1uF AC coupling and terminal differential 100Ohm resistor (Both ICs share same Vcc and ground).
We figure out that on that configuration, the sn65lvds104 output nothing...
So far, when we remove all the AC caps and terminal resistor (direct connection then), the sn65lvds104 is working correctly.
The TI application note about DC and AC coupling shows us that it is a good solution, but we didn't find out if the sn65lvds104 provide on-die 100Ohm resistance.
The questions are simple:
- Does sn65lvds104 have an on-die 100Ohm resistor?
- Is really no AC caps good enough for LVDS to LVDS interface?
