Hi,

We require two output frequencies for our application - 110MHz and 200MHz. Can they be simultaneously generated by the device? To achieve these frequencies, the output from prescaler must be 2200MHz which is the LCD of 110MHz and 200MHz. It however does not look possible from the device as prescaler has minimal divide ratio of 2 and hence we may need to get VCO output of 4400MHz.

Is there any software tool available for simulating the register values or can TI help on register values for these two frequencies? Our reference input is at 25MHz.

Hi,

the is a SW-GUI for CDCE62005 (CDCE62005 EVM Control Software Installer (Rev. D) ) <http://www.ti.com/product/cdce62005#desKit> which helps to do frequency planning. However, the CDCE62005 can not generate the both frequencies.

I would recommend to use the CDCM6208, which generates 200MHz and 110Mhz from 25Mhz input. More details like datasheet and SW tools at following web link: http://www.ti.com/product/cdce62005#desKit

In CDCM6208 datasheet it is mentioned that, while using this device to clock ADC, there will be SNR degradation when the IF frequency is above 100MHz. Our IF is around 160MHz. Is it recommendable to use CDCM6208 in this case? Or is the SNR degradation common for all clock generators?
