We are planning a 10 MHz Osc In and 200 MHz RF_OUT. Do you have data on the jitter and phase noise for RF_OUT_A relative to RF_OUT_B. Also data on the jitter and phase noise of the RF_OUT relative to the OSC IN. Thanks

Joe,

Both RF_OUT_A and RF_OUT_B have same structure and noise floor, so the jittter is the same.

I encourage you to use the clock design tool that can give you a good simulation phase noise and spurs and also integrated phase noise quantities like jitter. It is available at http://www.ti.com/tool/clockdesigntool

Thank you for the reply. Would you have any information on the jitter and phase noise from the LMX2581 OSCin to the output?

Would the clock design tool give that information?

Joe,

Yes, it could do this. What I would do is a phase noise simulation and load in the noise into the OSCin pin. The simulation lets you disable a noise source so you can see the noise with our entered phase noise vs. the noise for a noiseless reference.
